POSITIONS
SALES CONSULTANT – Anytime Fitness Durbanville
PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:
The Sales Consultant is responsible for:
- Selling memberships in order to achieve the set monthly budget and sales goals
- Completing all administrative procedures and tasks as required by the company
- Building a good club culture within the gym
- Providing excellent customer service to members and general enquiries
- Support the Club Manager with achieving sales targets, providing excellent customer service and completing all marketing, sales, and administrative tasks and procedures on time
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:
1) SELLING MEMBERSHIPS IN ORDER TO ACHIEVE THE SET MONTHLY BUDGET AND SALES GOALS:
- The sales consultant will be responsible for assisting with developing and maintaining relationships with the member base and creating a positive club culture. Building daily rapport with members and new enquiries is essential.
- Assist with achieving monthly sales targets/KPI’s set out by AF senior management. Overcome sales objections by following the AF sales processes and with assistance from the club manager and AF senior management.
- Maintain activity levels in all areas during work hours, including but not limited to, telephone contact e.g. cold calling, retention calling, follow-up calls, contacting new enquiries, calls to former members and conducting a club tour with all prospective members.
- Ensure all club administration i.e. emails to and from the club, are up to date, online systems/CRM, systems checks and members’ information is up to date and completed as per AF processes.
- Drive approved marketing and promotional campaigns in the club outlined by AF senior management.
- Ensuring the club’s appearance, cleanliness and maintenance is kept in excellent condition as per AF senior management processes.
- To communicate effectively and transparently with AF senior management. Reporting reviews/feedback, best practice, any ideas for the business/club in terms of lead generation or club culture, issues and or planned activities to AF senior management.
- Promote positive club culture & AF message “Make Healthy Happen” on a daily basis. We are looking for a team player who believes in what we are doing & builds the brand culture with us.
- Promote excellent customer service to club members and enquiries.
- Promote the club to the local community to generate new leads.
- Assist with maintaining an active social media presence on the AF clubs Facebook and Instagram accounts, with daily videos and or images.
- Communicating daily with new and old prospect leads to generating sales. We want the membership consultant to be proactive and to generate their own ideas. Understand and respect the needs of your enquiries to benefit sell which AF option is best for them.
- Your appearance is to AF standard guidelines. Approved and provided uniform is worn daily.
- Abide by the Anytime Fitness administration, club and sales guidelines daily.
- To expand the customer base and strengthen the loyalty of existing customers through service calls to increase sales referrals, and ongoing development of networks and relationships.
- To assist the manager and work together to ensure monthly sales targets are achieved, AF administration and sales guidelines are followed, and ensure a positive club culture is promoted
2) COMPLETING ALL ADMINISTRATIVE PROCEDURES AS REQUIRED BY THE COMPANY:
- Complete membership agreements, status changes, receipts and other relevant paperwork and or digital paperwork in full and correctly, as required by the company.
- Ensure that a photograph of every member is taken to be attached to their club profile account, as required by the company. This must be done at the point-of-sale completion.
- Ensure that all relevant documentation (ID’s, vouchers, etc.) is attached to the membership agreement and member management system (online) and completed by the member before uploading onto Clubwise.
- Complete the PAQ form correctly and ensure that all the relevant procedures are followed e.g. medical referral form to be completed by a medical practitioner if the member is classified as high risk, etc.
- Ensure that the member is informed regarding club rules. Understand their membership commitment & payments. Club rules and regulations are available on the AF website.
- Ensure that payment, as required at the point of sale, is made and that all the relevant procedures are followed correctly. i.e. using valid bank or card details to set up their club profile payment account and all relevant valid personal details for their club profile account.
- Ensure the accurate completion of documents.
3) COMMUNICATE WELL & ENSURE THAT MEMBERSHIP APPLICATION PROCEDURES ARE ADHERED TO:
- Understand all administrative procedures as specified by the company policies and standards, including daily administrative tasks, sales process, member account sign-up and activation, enquiry and customer service handling, marketing and promotional initiatives.
- Ensure that all member queries/pending contracts are resolved as soon as possible and/or as required by the company.
- Promote the efficiency and develop team spirit the club and or Anytime Fitness staff
- Attend all department and club meetings as required.
SALARY
Dependant on experience (Base R10k-12k per month excluding commission)
HOURS
One week opening hours (9am – 6pm Monday to Thursday) / (9am – 5pm Friday)
One week closing hours (11am – 8pm Monday to Thursday) / (11am – 6pm Friday)
Alternate Saturdays (9am – 2pm)
EXPERIENCE
- Sales, Fitness Industry and or Customer Service experience of 1 year or more preferred
- Relevant qualifications in Fitness, administration of business
- Must be a South African citizen or permanent resident
